Requirements

Journeyman or Master Electrician license is required.
Minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on industrial or petrochemical experience.
Excellent problem-solving capabilities under pressure.
Physical stamina to work in confined or elevated spaces.
Communication skills to collaborate with chemical operators and process engineers.

Responsibilities

Understanding NEC guidelines for Class I, Division 1 and 2 areas.
Strict adherence to electrical safety and arc flash protection protocols (NFPA 70E).
Expert application of plant-wide LOTO procedures to safely de-energize and isolate chemical processing equipment.
Diagnostic proficiency of PLCs, DCS and SCADA networks.
Calibration and loop checking of 4-20mA current loops, HART, and plant instrumentation (e.g., pressure transmitters, flow meters, level gauges, thermocouples).
Troubleshooting and tuning VFDs, soft starters, and heavy-duty 480V motor control centers.
Motor control expertise with across-the-line starters, soft starters, and complex control circuits.
Conducting routine inspections and predictive testing on switchgear, transformers, and electrical distribution lines.
Isolating faults in Process Controls and power circuits.
Accurately interpreting P&IDs, ladder logic, and single-line electrical schematics.
