About The Position
Hand & Stone Massage and Facial Spa – Malvern is seeking licensed massage therapists to join its locally owned and operated franchise. The spa emphasizes a people-first approach and supports team members’ personal and professional growth, including opportunities to develop skills and explore leadership. The role offers a flexible schedule and is open to new graduates as well as therapists already working in the industry. Compensation includes a base rate of $23–$26 per 50-minute classic massage, based on experience and skill level, plus uncapped commissions. Upgrade commissions range from $3–$9, and the spa reports that top-performing therapists typically earn an additional $10–$15 per hour through upgrades. Tips average 18%–25% of the nonmember price, or about $20–$30 per base service, and are paid directly through Zenoti. The posting states that high-performing full-time therapists typically earn $65,000–$88,000 annually based on 30 service hours per week; high-performing part-time therapists typically earn $33,000–$44,000 annually based on 15 service hours per week.
Requirements
- Hold an active Pennsylvania massage therapist license.
- Carry liability insurance.
- Communicate effectively with clients, spa management, and staff.
- Understand and believe in the healing benefits of massage therapy and bodywork.
Nice To Haves
- Knowledge of modalities such as Neuromuscular, Myofascial, Trigger Point, Prenatal, Craniosacral, Reiki, or Deep Tissue; this is preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
- Design specific treatment plans based on each client’s individual needs.
- Create an excellent experience for members and guests through a friendly and helpful attitude.
- Generate new clientele by promoting member referrals and memberships.
- Help maintain professionalism and cleanliness in therapy rooms and common areas.
