About The Position

A local massage therapy school is seeking a Florida Licensed Massage Therapist to serve as a daytime instructor. This is a separate position with the school and is not employment with Hand & Stone. The role may be a strong fit for an experienced therapist who enjoys mentoring others, explaining massage techniques, and helping new professionals build confidence and practical skills. Prior teaching experience is helpful but not required.

Requirements

• Active Florida Massage Therapy License required
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Dependable, organized, and comfortable instructing groups
• Passion for massage therapy and developing future professionals
• Ability to successfully complete a background screening

Nice To Haves

• Three or more years of professional massage therapy experience preferred
• Prior teaching experience is helpful but not required

Responsibilities

• Teach classroom and hands-on massage therapy courses
• Demonstrate massage techniques, proper body mechanics, and professional standards
• Provide instruction in areas such as Swedish massage, relaxation massage, deep tissue techniques, hot stone massage, and related curriculum
• Supervise students during practical instruction and student clinic
• Evaluate student skills, testing, attendance, and overall progress
• Provide clear and constructive feedback
• Maintain a professional, supportive, and respectful learning environment
• Complete required grading, documentation, and administrative tasks
