Licensed Massage Therapist
About The Position
AURĀE Modern Medical + Spa is seeking a skilled, intuitive, and client-focused Massage Therapist to join our holistic wellness team. This is a contractor position with expected hours of 20-30 per week. The role involves providing high-quality massage therapy services in a tranquil, spa-like setting, performing client consultations and assessments, and integrating complementary therapies. The therapist will also educate clients on wellness practices, maintain documentation, and uphold the cleanliness and professionalism of treatment spaces. Collaboration with other wellness professionals and assistance with administrative tasks are also part of the role. The position requires staying informed on developments in holistic health and performing other duties as assigned to support clinic operations.
Requirements
- Active South Carolina Massage Therapy License
- Strong knowledge of massage techniques, anatomy, physiology, and relevant medical terminology
- Experience providing client-centered care in a wellness, spa, or med spa environment
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills
- Professional demeanor, presentation, and reliability
- Commitment to ethical practice, personal growth, and holistic wellness
Nice To Haves
- Prior med spa or integrative wellness experience
- Experience with deep tissue massage and trigger point therapy
- Strong understanding of pain management and energy balancing techniques
Responsibilities
- Availability on May 2nd for a full-day LiveWild event at Firefly Distillery, providing mini massage sessions
- Ability to bring and set up your own massage equipment for off-site events
- Provide high-quality massage therapy services in a tranquil, spa-like setting
- Perform client consultations & assessments to determine appropriate treatment approaches
- Integrate complementary therapies such as deep tissue massage and trigger point therapy when appropriate
- Educate clients on energy healing principles, self-care, and wellness practices
- Maintain clear, accurate, & respectful documentation of client sessions & progress
- Uphold cleanliness, safety, professionalism, & energetic integrity of treatment spaces
- Collaborate with other wellness professionals to support comprehensive, client-centered care
- Assist with planning, booking, & scheduling client and member appointments as needed
- Stay informed on developments in holistic health, pain management, and related wellness practices
- Perform other duties as assigned to support clinic operations & the client experience
