About The Position
Massage Therapist - Community Hospice – Per Diem - Columbia and Greene County areas Community Hospice is looking for a qualified Massage Therapist to join our team serving patients in the Columbia and Greene County areas Position Highlights: Mileage Reimbursement-You'll receive mileage reimbursement as you drive from one patient to the next at the federal rate per mile! Requirements
- A current license to practice as a Massage Therapist in the state of New York
- Graduate of an approved Massage Therapy Program
- 1 year professional experience in massage therapy discipline required. 2 years experience preferred.
- Previous home care and hospice experience preferred.
- Possession of a valid/clean New York State driver’s license and available automobile for travel throughout the service area.
- Experience working with computers, including laptops, email, cell phone and basic software programs along with confidence in providing electronic clinical notes and documentation regarding patient sessions.
- Availability to complete computer-based mandatory education requirements through the course of the year
- High level of interpersonal skills to establish and maintain relationships with patients, families, physicians, and coworkers
- Strong administrative and organizational skills to coordinate your own schedule
- Must be able to work independently
Nice To Haves
- 2 years experience preferred.
- Previous home care and hospice experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for direct care and evaluation of patients, with resultant formulation and implementation of treatment program as appropriate to the specific needs of that patient.
- Responsible for calling patients/caregivers to offer and schedule services
- Flexible Schedule This position will be per diem and estimated at 10-15 hours a week.
