About The Position

Compass Government Solutions (CGS) is seeking an experienced Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT) to provide services for the Optimize the Human Weapon System (OHWS) program at Eielson AFB, AK. The LMT will be responsible for prehabilitation of musculoskeletal conditions in fighter aircrew by evaluating and providing massage therapy as part of a program designed to strengthen the core musculoskeletal system, enhance resistance to neck and back injury, and improve overall quality of life. Healthy lifestyle education will also be addressed as part of an overall health maintenance program.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in various massage modalities and techniques.
  • Strong understanding of human anatomy, physiology, and kinesiology.
  • Knowledge of contraindications and precautions for massage therapy.
  • Ability to assess client needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Graduated from an accredited Massage Therapy certification program.
  • Current and unrestricted license or certification from the U.S. jurisdiction where services are provided.
  • 2+ years of full-time experience as a Licensed Massage Therapist in a medical practice setting or in collegiate (or higher), professional, or tactical athletics; aerospace industry, test pilot/astronaut or similar man-machine high performance environment.
  • Possess current certification in basic Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) to include Automated External Defibrillator (AED) training.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.

  • Evaluate and provide massage therapy to fighter aircrew personnel as part of a prehabilitation program.
  • Strengthen the core musculoskeletal system to enhance resistance to neck and back injury.
  • Address healthy lifestyle education as part of an overall health maintenance program to enhance injury resistance.
  • Improve the overall quality of life for fighter aircrew through massage therapy focused on neck and back pain.
