About The Position

Cortica is seeking a part-time Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) with a Texas license to join its multidisciplinary team. The role involves providing counseling services to children, parents, siblings, and other caregivers via telehealth. Requirements

  • Master's degree or doctorate in psychology, counseling, marriage and family therapy, or a related field.
  • Current unrestricted license to practice independently as a Clinical Social Worker, Professional Clinical Counselor (or equivalent), or Marriage and Family Therapist in Texas for at least 1 year.
  • Well-grounded and knowledgeable in empirically supported psychotherapy treatment approaches including cognitive and behavioral, postmodern/post-structural, social-constructionism, and narrative therapy.
  • 1+ years of experience working with children or families with developmental differences in a counseling environment.
  • Ability to obtain Mental Health Provider licensure in all states where Cortica has a presence within 60 days of hire.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver direct client counseling services to families, couples, and children (patients, their parents, siblings and/or other stakeholders) through telehealth.
  • Utilize empirically supported therapeutic approaches tailored to client needs, such as Narrative Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Play Therapy, and Solution Focused Collaborative Therapy.
  • Attend to relational ethics while collaborating with the interdisciplinary team and families, ensuring wraparound support and sharing of information.
  • Participate in family care meetings with other providers.
  • Potential for additional responsibilities like clinical mentorship through the Clinical Ladder Program.
