About The Position

Performs professional-level work providing therapeutic services across a continuum of care. Services include assessments, individual and family treatment, treatment-plan coordination, referent and payor relations, and intervention with client support systems. The role also performs administrative duties in support of the River Community Wellness Program.

The employee must maintain compliance with applicable certification and licensure requirements for their profession and notify the employer of any status issue or potential issue. The employee must comply with requirements established by the New York State Office of the Professions, as well as applicable DOH, OMH, and Justice Center requirements.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Counseling from an accredited college or university, including at least 60 semester hours of clinical coursework.
• Current license as an LMFT granted by the New York State Office of the Professions.
• Experience working with individual and family modalities.
• Knowledge of psychotherapy and methods.
• Knowledge and application of evidence-based practices.
• Knowledge of record keeping and report writing techniques.
• Ability to organize and carry out new programs and procedures.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS).
• Compliance with all DOH, OMH, and Justice Center requirements.

Responsibilities

• Conduct assessments and provide individual and family treatment.
• Coordinate treatment plans.
• Maintain referent and payor relations.
• Intervene with client support systems.
• Perform administrative duties in support of the River Community Wellness Program.
• Complete Justice Center Mandated Reporter Training and Code of Conduct annually.
• Notify the employer of any certification or licensure issue or potential issue and comply with applicable New York State Office of the Professions requirements.
