Requirements

  • Must have a valid Ontario Industrial Mechanic License - 433A
  • Red Seal Journeyman certification
  • Minimum 2–3-year previous experience in a manufacturing industry
  • Exposure to mechanical devices, pneumatic controls and welding/cutting.

Nice To Haves

  • All position welding preferred (stainless steel pipe, guard repairs, etc.).

Responsibilities

  • Focus on minimizing downtime through preventive maintenance and good troubleshooting techniques.
  • Prepare maintenance reports by Make recommendations as necessary for improvements.
  • Maintain technical knowledge by attending education workshops.
  • Repair and replace as necessary pumps, valves, motors, etc.
  • Perform quality checks on all work performed.
  • Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with health and safety and housekeeping practices and use of personal protective equipment.
  • Prepare maintenance reports by making recommendations as necessary for improvements.
  • Maintain documentation as required by Atlantic Packaging
  • Required to utilize documentation in CMMS.
  • Install new machines and equipment.
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results and other duties as assigned.
  • Inform production workers of routine mechanical preventive maintenance plans.
