What we are looking for NextCare Urgent Care is seeking an energetic and enthusiastic Practical Technologist in Radiology (PTR) / Medical Front Office professional who thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. This role requires a customer-focused individual who can balance radiology responsibilities with front office duties while delivering a positive patient experience. Requirements

Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent; AND diploma or certificate from an accredited radiology school and/or equivalent experience.
Certified Practical Technologist in Radiology (PTR)
Current healthcare professional level CPR certification issued by American Heart Association, American Red Cross, American Safety Health Institute or National Safety

Responsibilities

Performs radiology duties within the scope of practice as outlined in company policies and procedures, as well as applicable state radiation rules and regulations.
Assist the provider with radiology-related procedures and processes under direct supervision and within scope of practice.
Adheres to all safety protocols related to radiologic procedures and patient care.
Monitors and reports unusual patient occurrences related to imaging services and documents appropriately.
Ensures compliance with applicable radiology, laboratory, and clinical accreditation standards.
Maintains proficiency in EMR/EHR systems.
Performs other related duties as assigned or described in Company Policy
Serves as the first point of contact for patients, providing excellent customer service and creating a welcoming environment.
Obtains and accurately enters patient demographic and insurance information into the EMR system.
Monitors patient flow, including coordinating room placement as appropriate and keeping patients informed of wait times.
Processes patient discharge, including charge entry, payment collection, obtaining signatures, and issuing receipts.
Completes insurance documentation to support accurate reimbursement.
Prepares daily deposits, reconciliations, and statistical reports.
Manages appointments, including those scheduled online.
Answers phones professionally and responds to patient inquiries.
Maintains cleanliness and organization of the front office, waiting areas, and restrooms.
Ensures adequate inventory of front office supplies and proper functioning of equipment.
Performs other related duties as assigned or described in Company Policy
Perform moderate-complexity clinical testing across authorized disciplines (e.g., Chemistry, Hematology, Urinalysis) in strict accordance with the laboratory's COLA-approved SOP manual.
Execute and document daily instrument calibrations, quality control (QC) tracking, and corrective actions for out-of-range values prior to reporting patient results.
Maintain orderly, verifiable, and audit-ready logs for all pre-analytical, analytical, and post-analytical activities to ensure seamless biennial COLA on-site surveys.
Participate in mandatory, documented competency assessments (semiannually in the first year of employment, and annually thereafter) covering all six CLIA-mandated elements.
Successfully test and document blind proficiency testing samples exactly like patient specimens, adhering to strict anti-commingling regulations.
Accession, process, centrifuge, and evaluate sample integrity, reporting data accurately into the Laboratory Information System (LIS).
Promptly recognize critical, life-threatening results and follow immediate notification protocols to the attending healthcare provider.
