About The Position

BL Companies is seeking a Land Surveyor licensed in South Carolina to join our growing team in Charlotte, NC. This role requires technical expertise, leadership, and the ability to work effectively in both field and office settings. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in land surveying and a proven track record of delivering survey projects with precision and efficiency. This is a dynamic opportunity to contribute to high-impact projects while collaborating with BL’s Survey Management team. Depending on experience and interests, the role may involve overseeing both field and office operations and managing a wide variety of survey projects.

Requirements

Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in land surveying
South Carolina Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license required
Proficiency in CAD, GPS, and robotic instruments
Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to project sites
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and leadership abilities

Nice To Haves

North Carolina and Tennessee Professional Land License in addition is a plus

Responsibilities

Scope, estimate, and plan survey projects
Oversee execution of Boundary Surveys, ALTA/NSPS Land Title Surveys, and Construction Stakeout
Ensure quality control across all project phases
Help to coordinate staffing and resource planning
Maintain strong client relationships through proactive communication and service
Travel to job sites as required
Collaborate with Survey Management leadership and contribute to department operations
