Requirements

Minimum of a bachelor's degree in Surveying Engineering (or equivalent) or equivalent work experience.
Minimum of ten years of surveying experience.
Ability to and interest in managing projects.
Working knowledge of modern survey techniques.
Working knowledge of computer programs.
Valid driver's license.
Reliable transportation required.
Ability to reliably commute or relocate to Fort Myers, FL before starting work.

Nice To Haves

An advanced degree in the area of work specialization is desirable.
Registration as a Professional Surveyor and Mapper (PSM) in Florida, or ability to attain within 1 year, is preferred.
Candidates who are currently registered as a Land Surveyor-in-Training (LSIT) are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

Plan, organize, and coordinate project activities to ensure successful completion of assigned projects within established guidelines and policies.
Direct others in the preparation of professional, economical, and effective project products.
Collaborate with personnel from other departments to ensure fulfillment of contract requirements.
Manage project teams and multiple projects simultaneously.
Manage contract budgets, estimate completion costs, and update as conditions change.
Communicate scope of work changes to clients, including project schedule and budget impacts, and obtain client approval before proceeding with out-of-scope work.
Prepare project proposals, including scope of work, timeline, and estimated manpower.
Serve as a mentor and Supervisor (as assigned) for junior and mid-level staff.
