Licensed HVAC Service Technician
About The Position
Tom Drexler Plumbing, Air & Electric is a leading residential plumbing, HVAC, and electrical company serving Louisville for over 30 years. We provide stable, year-round work with modern equipment, clear processes, and strong support for our technicians. We are seeking Kentucky Licensed HVAC Technicians to join our team. This role offers flexible schedules, no on-call requirement, and the opportunity to earn $80-$130k+ annually. We provide a company-provided vehicle, fuel card, uniforms, cell phone, and tablet, along with comprehensive benefits including 401(k) match, health insurance (Medical, Dental, Vision), short & long-term disability, life insurance, and paid time off (PTO).
Requirements
- Kentucky Licensed HVAC Technician
- 1+ year of residential HVAC service or installation experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent (required)
- Valid Driver’s License
- Strong understanding of residential HVAC systems and phases
- Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and clearly explain issues and solutions to customers
- Excellent customer service skills and ability to build trust
- Ability to perform thorough system inspections and communicate findings
- Commitment to safety protocols and field best practices
- Strong problem-solving skills using technical knowledge and customer-focused communication
- Ability to lift ~50 lbs and work in exterior customer environments
- Comfortable working in attics, crawl spaces, and varying environmental conditions
- Ability to stand, bend, climb ladders, and perform physical tasks regularly
- Successful completion of a criminal background check, drug screening, and motor vehicle report

Responsibilities
- Communicate clearly with dispatch, your manager, and parts and installation teams
- Maintain a clean and organized company truck—inside and out
- Keep truck inventory up to date and accurate
- Complete all required paperwork and documentation properly and on time
- Participate in the on-call rotation
- Maintain a clean, professional appearance
- Participate in ongoing training and certification development (we can help you obtain necessary credentials)
- Follow all safety regulations and best practices
- Perform additional duties as assigned
