About The Position

Cetechs is seeking experienced, licensed Journeyman HVAC Mechanics to support the Department of Veterans Affairs at the North Texas VA Medical Center in Dallas. This position is responsible for installing, operating, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing commercial and institutional HVAC systems that support critical hospital operations. Requirements

Active Texas HVAC License
Minimum four (4) years of journeyman-level HVAC experience
Siemens Controls Training (certificate required)
OSHA Certification
Experience troubleshooting commercial HVAC systems
Ability to read blueprints and electrical schematics
Strong troubleshooting and independent problem-solving skills

Nice To Haves

Hospital or healthcare facility maintenance experience
Experience with chilled water plants
Experience with central HVAC systems up to 500 tons
Knowledge of NFPA 99 requirements
Experience working in mission-critical facilities

Responsibilities

Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems.
Service air conditioning, heating, ventilation, and chilled water systems.
Perform preventive maintenance and emergency repairs.
Diagnose and repair refrigerant leaks, compressors, motors, pumps, and controls.
Adjust and calibrate mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic control systems.
Perform chemical treatment of HVAC water systems.
Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical manuals.
Complete daily work reports and maintenance documentation.
Coordinate daily assignments with the VA Contracting Officer Representative (COR).
Maintain compliance with VA, OSHA, NFPA, and industry safety standards.
Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
