Requirements

Current Maine licensure as a Hearing Instrument Specialist (or eligibility for licensure).
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-centered approach to care.
Ability to build lasting relationships with patients while delivering exceptional customer service.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
A passion for helping people improve their communication, confidence, and overall quality of life.

Nice To Haves

Experience fitting and programming hearing instruments is preferred.

Responsibilities

Conducting hearing screenings and assessments within the scope of licensure.
Recommending, fitting, programming, and adjusting hearing instruments based on each patient's unique needs.
Educating patients and their families on hearing loss, hearing aid use, care, and maintenance.
Providing follow-up care, troubleshooting, repairs, and ongoing support to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Maintaining accurate patient records and documentation in accordance with regulatory requirements.
Collaborating with audiologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
Staying current on advancements in hearing technology and best practices.
