Requirements

  • 4 years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • State Journeyman Electrical License (Required OR Qualified State Reciprical Licensing).
  • Knowledge of MIC Health and Safety programs and project specific regulations.
  • Ability to actively participate in daily toolbox meetings with crews and subcontractors when on-site.
  • Ability to set a personal example of safe behavior.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers, multiply and divide with 10's and 100's and perform these operations using units of weight measurement and volume.
  • Common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form.
  • Ability to work within precise standards of accuracy and follow set procedures and standards.
  • Ability to wear personal protective equipment (including but not limited to- safety toed shoes, gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection, hardhat, vest, etc.).
  • Ability to keep good balance and work at heights.
  • Ability to see well (either naturally or with correction).
  • Ability to hear well (either naturally or with correction).
  • Ability to coordinate the use of eyes, hands, and feet.

Responsibilities

  • Installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures in accordance with relevant codes.
  • Ensuring the proper functioning of all electrical units in the facility.
  • Conducting scheduled checks to identify any malfunctions.
  • Complying with all safety norms and regulations.
  • Appropriately using and handling electrical testing and repair equipment.
  • Completing all tasks as assigned by the supervising manager.
  • Maintaining records of all electrical inventories and ordering spare parts and equipment.
  • Maintaining a log of electrical repair and maintenance works.
  • Maintaining a professional appearance.
