Requirements

  • Certification as a Dental Assistant with BCCOHP
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent multitasking and organizational abilities
  • A collaborative mindset and the ability to work independently and as part of a close-knit team

Nice To Haves

  • Dental assisting experience is preferred, but motivated individuals willing to learn are welcome
  • Experience with Tracker and Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook) is considered an asset
  • New graduates are welcome.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the dentist chairside during procedures, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow
  • Prepare and sterilize instruments and treatment rooms following strict infection control protocols
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene, post-treatment care, and dental procedures
  • Take and develop X-rays (if certified) and maintain accurate patient records
  • Support front desk operations when needed, including scheduling and patient communication
  • Contribute to a positive, patient-focused clinic environment
