They are seeking a Licensed Counselor to join their team in the Lebanon Pines residential treatment program. Requirements

  • Requires Connecticut Associate License or Independent License.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in orienting clients to the program, its goals, rules, and client rights upon admission.
  • Ensure insurance authorizations align with dates of treatment and services provided.
  • Provide education and information to clients individually and in groups regarding substance use disorders and recovery resources.
  • Coordinate case management needs, matching services, agencies, and resources with clients to assist with discharge planning.
  • Provide crisis intervention services for clients experiencing acute emotional or physical distress.
  • Support individual clients in identifying strengths, weaknesses, problems, and needs for ongoing treatment planning for substance use and/or mental health issues.
  • Identify client needs that cannot be met at this level and assist in referring clients to available support systems and community resources.
  • Meet with the multidisciplinary team to report on client progress, discuss, and modify established treatment plans.
  • Formulate clinical interventions to promote stability and ensure client engagement and investment.
  • Provide counseling for family or significant others as appropriate.
  • Meet all documentation requirements for client progress, referral, contractual networking, and incident reporting.
  • Complete initial client assessments for placement and ongoing assessments for continued treatment or referral.
  • Establish a treatment plan with the client focused on goals, targeted objectives, and interventions to maximize strengths and resources.
  • Utilize counseling skills in individual, group, or family counseling to help clients achieve objectives through problem exploration, attitude/feeling examination, alternative solution consideration, and decision-making.
  • Chart assessment results and treatment planning, writing reports, progress notes, discharge summaries, and other client-related data in a timely manner.
