About The Position

Integrated Services for Behavioral Health (ISBH) is seeking a Licensed Counselor or Social Worker to join their team in Chillicothe, OH. ISBH is a community-focused organization dedicated to helping individuals on their path to health and well-being by providing services in homes and communities and connecting them with resources. They serve Southeastern and Central Ohio with a comprehensive range of behavioral health services, collaborating with local partners to foster healthy individuals and strong communities. The services offered are designed to be collaborative and personalized. The Licensed Social Worker/Licensed Professional Counselor will provide direct behavioral health services to individuals and families with diverse needs. This includes conducting biopsychosocial assessments, formulating provisional diagnoses under supervision, and delivering therapeutic interventions. The role involves developing individualized, strengths-based, and trauma-informed treatment plans, maintaining compliant documentation, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care. Active participation in supervision, ongoing training, and adherence to professional and ethical standards are essential. Services can be delivered in various settings including home, office, school, community, or via telehealth, with flexible hours and travel as dictated by client and program needs. Salary ranges vary based on licensure level: Dependently Licensed ($22.29-$26.82/hr, non-exempt), Dependently Licensed Seeking Independent Licensure ($24.93-$29.20/hr, non-exempt), and Independently Licensed ($61,174.73-$71,675.95/year, exempt).

Requirements

  • A high school degree or GED equivalent is required
  • A bachelor’s degree in counseling, social work or related field is required
  • Active license in the state of Ohio as a Licensed Social Worker (LSW) or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) is required
  • Experience serving multi-need individuals and families is required
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written is required
  • Excellent organizational skills are required
  • Trauma-informed engagement skills are required
  • Ability to use a personal vehicle or company vehicle to provide services in homes, schools, and community settings is required
  • Ability to maintain confidential information is required
  • A valid driver's license and the ability to operate a motor vehicle is required
  • An appropriate level of auto insurance coverage is required
  • Ability to manage deadlines within a fast-paced, high-volume environment is required
  • Ability to operate in an Internet-based, automated office environment is required
  • Ability to maintain high-speed internet connection is required

Nice To Haves

  • A master’s degree in counseling, social work or related field is preferred
  • Experience partnering with local behavioral health systems, housing, legal systems, and social services is preferred
  • Knowledge of community resources and behavioral health systems is preferred
  • Ability to bill Medicaid without restrictions is required

Responsibilities

  • Conduct biopsychosocial assessments and formulate provisional diagnoses under supervision
  • Engage individuals and families in the home and community to identify strengths, barriers, and goals related to behavioral health and daily functioning
  • Provide therapeutic and supportive interventions within scope of licensure and supervision
  • Develop and update treatment plans using trauma-informed, strengths-based principles
  • Coordinate with internal and external teams to ensure continuity of care
  • Maintain timely, accurate, compliant documentation
  • Deliver care in home and community-based settings
  • Participate in team meetings, supervision, and required training to support ongoing development
  • Practice professionally and ethically in accordance with the Code of Ethics of licensing board
  • Utilizes databases and Electronic Health Record systems for accurate client documentation
  • Maintain compliance with HIPAA, mandated reporting requirements, and professional ethical guidelines
  • Adhere to ISBH EHR documentation policy
  • Meet ISBH standards for productivity and quality of service delivery
  • Travel within designated service area
  • Performs other duties as assigned
