About The Position

Venesco LLC is seeking Military Family Licensed Counselors (MFLC) to support military members and families at/around Minot AFB in Minot, ND. This role involves providing year-round counseling to children of military dependents on the Air Force base. The position offers an $800 sign-on bonus. Counselors will assist children and families in managing the stresses associated with military life, including deployment, frequent relocations, isolation, parental absence, child education, and spousal employment. The role requires an independent license in any state (LCSW/LICSW, LMFT, LPC, LCPC, and LMHC are eligible). Venesco's team of mental healthcare professionals provides exceptional care to active-duty service members and their families. MFLC counselors are independently licensed mental health professionals who use discretion and independent judgment to offer non-medical counseling, coaching, training, and education. Non-medical counseling addresses areas such as living conditions, life skills, relationships, stress management, adjustment issues, marital problems, parenting, fear, grief, and loss. School counselors and Child Development Center Counselors may be assigned to DoDEA schools, military childcare centers, or local community schools, and should have experience in a school setting for CYB positions. CYB counselors also work with youth programs, summer camps, and on-demand assignments, collaborating with military Points of Contact (POCs) to ensure contract scope and installation needs are met. Requirements

  • Master’s degree in the Behavioral Health Professions
  • Minimum 2 years of post-master’s supervised clinical experience
  • Mental Health Licensure at the Independent Practice level
  • School Counselors must demonstrate past experience working in a school setting or other Child/Youth Services setting.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen
  • Must be able to obtain a NACI level government security clearance

Responsibilities

  • Provide non-medical counseling, coaching, training, and education to military service members and their families.

  • Work with children and families to cope with the stresses of military life, including deployment, frequent relocations, and parental absence.
  • Provide resource information and problem-solving skills.
  • Collaborate with military branch Points of Contact (POCs) to ensure program delivery meets contract scope and installation needs.
  • Work closely with military branch Points of Contact (POCs) to assure that the program is provided within the scope of the contract and meets the needs of assigned installation.
