Licensed Cosmetology Educator
About The Position
Our Licensed Cosmetology Educator is the leader in the classroom who inspires future professionals and helps them build the skills they need to thrive in the field. We're looking for a compassionate, understanding person who can clearly explain technical information, demonstrate various techniques, and adapt teaching styles to fit individual students. You'll set the tone for successful class sessions, bringing a positive energy that revitalizes students and gets them excited for the day's curriculum. Always upbeat and professional, you'll lead engaging hands-on lessons and educate your students on all the tips and tricks of the trade. You'll stop as needed to answer questions, expand more on topics as needed, and demonstrate different techniques for accomplishing great results. Then you'll get on the clinic floor, where you'll watch over students as they practice their skills and step in where needed to offer more direction and support. You'll coach students on guest services, completing all kinds of haircuts and colors, and the other aspects that contribute to successful cosmetology careers. Every lesson is a new opportunity to make a tangible, long-lasting impact!
Requirements
- Ohio state instructor's license
- Flexible schedule availability for working various class hours and days
- Creative, motivational, and visionary attitude
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to provide constructive feedback and 1:1 coaching
