About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Licensed Commercial Plumber to join our team. This position is responsible for installing, maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing commercial plumbing systems in accordance with local and state codes. The ideal candidate has strong technical expertise, a solid work ethic, and proven experience in commercial plumbing environments. The role involves performing routine preventive maintenance to ensure safety, proper functionality, and aesthetics of facilities, equipment, or fixtures by following established schedules and guidelines, including inspecting, cleaning, and repairing. It also includes observing and documenting signs of wear and tear, gathering capital expense information, recommending repair needs, determining replacement needs, and documenting maintenance activities. The position performs major and minor repairs on facilities, equipment, or fixtures using multiple craft skills (e.g., plumbing, electrical, carpentry, material handling equipment, food equipment), inspecting, operating, or testing to diagnose issues, dismantling equipment to access and remove defective parts, and utilizing blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogs. The plumber will use hand tools, power tools, hoists, and other equipment, provide prompt response to emergency calls, and document repair activities. Additionally, the role manages work orders, maintenance schedules, and contractors by completing required written and electronic information, conducting price comparisons, ordering and tracking parts, recording purchases and usage, submitting warranty claims, and ensuring compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations. It also involves ensuring contractors follow Walmart quality standards, safety requirements, and meet contract requirements, identifying and reporting deficiencies, unloading and storing equipment, and transporting equipment between facilities. The individual will lead and participate in teams, develop, communicate, and implement processes to meet business needs, and demonstrate, promote, and support compliance with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity.

Requirements

  • Active state-issued plumbing license (required) or Licensed Journeyman Plumber or equivalent in the state of work.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in the plumbing trade or commercial plumbing.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial plumbing systems, tools, and materials.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex plumbing issues independently.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Eligible for a Commercial Driver's License (CDL).

Nice To Haves

  • Completion of a 2-year Vocational or Technical trade program.
  • Intermediate level functionality of word processing, spreadsheet, email, and presentation software (for example, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • License in related trade in city and/or state where job is located.

Responsibilities

  • Install, repair, and maintain commercial plumbing systems, including water, drain, sewer, and gas lines.
