About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Licensed Commercial Plumber to join our team. This position is responsible for installing, maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing commercial plumbing systems in accordance with local and state codes. The ideal candidate has strong technical expertise, a solid work ethic, and proven experience in commercial plumbing environments. This role involves performing routine preventive maintenance to ensure safety, proper functionality, and aesthetics of facilities, equipment, or fixtures by following established schedules and guidelines, inspecting, cleaning, and repairing, and documenting activities. The position also entails performing major and minor repairs on facilities, equipment, or fixtures by utilizing multiple craft skills (e.g., plumbing, electrical, carpentry, material handling equipment, food equipment), diagnosing problems using blueprints and manuals, and providing prompt response to emergency calls. Furthermore, the role manages work orders, maintenance schedules, and contractors, including completing required documentation, conducting price comparisons, ordering parts, submitting warranty claims, and ensuring compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations. The individual will also lead and participate in teams, coordinate work assignments, provide advice and support, and adapt to change. They will develop, communicate, and implement processes and practices by collaborating with various partners, analyzing information, monitoring progress, and identifying improvement opportunities. Finally, the position requires demonstrating, promoting, and supporting compliance with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity.

Requirements

  • Active state-issued plumbing license (required), specifically a Licensed Journeyman Plumber or equivalent in the state of work.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in commercial plumbing or the plumbing trade.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial plumbing systems, tools, and materials.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex plumbing issues independently.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Eligible for a Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
  • Ability to lift, bend, and work in various commercial environments.

Nice To Haves

  • Completion of a 2-year Vocational or Technical trade program.
  • Intermediate level functionality of word processing, spreadsheet, email, and presentation software (for example, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • License in related trade in city and/or state where job is located.

Responsibilities

  • Install, repair, and maintain commercial plumbing systems, including water, drain, sewer, and gas lines.
  • Diagnose plumbing issues and determine effective repair solutions.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and plumbing plans.
  • Ensure all work complies with state and local plumbing codes and safety standards.
  • Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure safety, proper functionality, and aesthetics of facilities, equipment, or fixtures.
  • Perform major and minor repairs on facilities, equipment, or fixtures by utilizing multiple craft skills (for example, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, material handling equipment, food equipment).
  • Provide prompt response to emergency calls.
  • Manage work orders, maintenance schedules, and contractors by completing and providing required written and electronic information (for example, expense vouchers, weekly summaries, work orders, maintenance logs).
  • Conduct price comparison of parts and travel related costs; order parts and replacement equipment and track orders; record purchases and usage; submit warranty claims.
  • Comply with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) regulations and guidelines.
  • Lead and participate in teams by using and sharing resources, information, and tools; determining customer needs and business priorities; coordinating and executing work assignments; providing advice, feedback, and support.
  • Develop, communicate, and implement processes and practices to meet business needs by collaborating with managers, co-workers, customers, and other business partners; analyzing and applying information from multiple sources; monitoring progress and results; and identifying and addressing improvement opportunities.
  • Demonstrate, promote, and support compliance with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity.
