Requirements

  • Master’s degree or higher in Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Psychology, or a related behavioral health field from an accredited institution.
  • Current state licensure or licensure eligibility (e.g., LCAS, LMFT, LCSW, LCMHC, or equivalent).
  • Associate licensure considered.
  • First Aid/ CPR Certification.
  • Crisis Intervention Certification.

Nice To Haves

  • At least one year’s training and/or clinical experience providing individual, group, and family therapy in a behavioral health, mental health, or substance use disorder treatment setting.
  • Experience with treatment planning, clinical documentation, crisis intervention, and evidence-based therapeutic modalities.
  • Prior work in residential, outpatient, or multidisciplinary treatment environments.
  • Dual licensure or certification in Substance Use Disorder (SUD) treatment.

Responsibilities

  • Providing the full range of therapeutic interventions to clients in treatment, including assessment and treatment services, family/relationship services, group process, educational presentations, treatment planning and review, documentation of services and client response, concurrent reviews, discharge planning, and managed care contact.
  • Completing and evaluating biopsychosocial assessments and other data.
  • Interviewing family members or third parties.
  • Completing individualized initial treatment plans for clients entering treatment.
  • Facilitating group and individual therapy.
  • Assessing client progress.
  • Conducting discharge planning.
  • Partnering with members of a treatment team.
  • Developing and presenting lectures and education presentations to clients.
  • Participating in QA activities.
  • Demonstrating the knowledge and professional skills necessary to provide clinical care for substance abuse and co-occurring substance abuse clientele.
  • Maintaining high standards of excellence in an ethical and trauma-informed setting.
