Requirements

  • Primary Source Verification of education.
  • Copy of clinical license.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's in Social Work or Psychology field from an accredited school.
  • Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW); Licensed Master's Social Worker (LMSW); Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC); or Provisional Licensed Professional Counselor (PLPC) - with the State of Louisiana.
  • One-year experience performing duties as a Social Worker/Counselor in a Behavioral Health setting.

Responsibilities

  • Participates as an integral professional member of a multi-disciplinary team, implementing and assisting in the supervision of social service interventions to patients.
  • Demonstrates understanding and interpretation of facility policies to ensure adherence.
  • Conducts therapy groups according to the daily program schedule, selecting group content based on the current population to ensure effective therapeutic services.
  • Completes assessments, communicates with family members, and develops treatment plans.
  • Participates in staffing with the treatment team as needed.
  • Demonstrates strong knowledge of a wide range of disorders, including cognitive, emotional, developmental, social, and behavioral.
  • Performs crisis intervention, special case conferences, and communication with outside agencies to ensure patient rights, care, and needs are met.
  • Oversees the implementation of interventions performed by other disciplines within the social service department.
