About The Position

The job of Licensed Clinical Social Worker is done for the purpose of providing, performing, coordinating, and supervising school-based mental health services at school sites; District-wide intervention and prevention; direct clinical and case management services; proving consultation and in-service training to District students, parents, employees, and administrators; and assist in the management, supervision, training, and evaluation of assigned personnel; and providing information on services available to eligible students and families, conveying information regarding school and/or district activities, procedures, and referring families to other agencies.

Requirements

  • A Master's Degree in Social Work from an accredited college or university
  • Equivalent to three (3) years of increasingly responsible and complex work experience in providing psychotherapy to children
  • Computer experience, including word processing, spreadsheets, and database management programs
  • Valid Class C Driver's license & availability of private transportation
  • Professional Licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) OR Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) by the California Behavioral Science Board and completion of all internship requirements
  • Current CPR and First Aid certification
  • Ability to read, write, and speak Spanish fluently (for some positions)
  • Unofficial documents/transcripts will be accepted for initial consideration
  • Official documents/transcripts will be required for employment processing if a job offer is extended and accepted
  • Foreign Diploma/ Degree/Transcripts must be certified and evaluated to meet the United States equivalency
  • Master's Degree in Social Work OR unofficial/official transcripts from an accredited college or university that denotes graduation with a Master's Degree in Social Work
  • Valid Professional Licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) OR Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) by the California Behavioral Science Board and completion of all internship requirements
  • Valid Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification issued by an authorized agency
  • Valid First Aid certification issued by an authorized agency
  • Valid Photocopy of your California Class C Driver's License
  • Official Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) driving history record WILL BE REQUIRED UPON OFFER OF EMPLOYMENT
  • DMV driving history must be dated within the last thirty (30) days of the employment processing period
  • DMV record obtained via the internet or online will NOT be accepted

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in the K-12 public educational setting is desirable
  • A Pupil Personnel Services Credential is desirable, but not required, upon entry into the position and/or may be required during employment tenure as a condition of continuing employment
