About The Position

Koniag Advisory Business Solutions, LLC, a Koniag Government Services company, is seeking a Licensed Clinical Social Worker III to support KABS to support our government customer in Lawrence, KS. This position is covered under the Service Contract Act. Koniag Advisory Business Solutions (KABS) is seeking Licensed Clinical Social Workers to join our team providing on-site mental health professional services, Monday-Friday, 8:00 am – 4:30 pm for the Indian Health Service (IHS), Haskell Service Unit facilities located in Lawrence KS. Duties include providing psychotherapy to individuals eligible for services provided by the IHS Haskell Service Unit. Psychotherapy refers to the provision of mental health services that use various forms of therapeutic strategies and interactions to assess, diagnose, and treat dysfunctional thoughts and behavioral patterns. The Licensed Clinical Social Worker III (LCSW) provides on-site, mental health treatment services to patients of the Haskell Indian Health Center located in Lawrence, KS. Services include, but are not limited to: Utilizes licensed, clinical mental health training to provide psychotherapy to clients across the lifespan, for the Haskell Service Unit and service areas to which assigned. As a member of a multidisciplinary patient-care team, provides highly skilled biopsychosocial diagnostic and treatment services to individuals, couples, families, and groups. Services are provided to a full range of patients, and treatment plans are developed for a wide range of DSM 5-TR diagnoses. Psychotherapy is provided in the context of the individual's needs, keeping in mind the connection between physical and mental health, along with understanding underlying psychopathologies that impact client functioning. Other conditions that may be the focus of clinical attention include screening for suicidal ideation and referring for further assessment or establishing safety plans, abuse and neglect, learning and vocational problems, as well as lifestyle factors and socioeconomic needs. LCSW follows standard guidelines for assessing and diagnosing, utilizing the DSM-5-TR. Treatment shall follow standard practices, including adherence to the phases of mental health treatment, which include 1) evaluation and orientation to treatment services, 2) explanation of diagnoses made and relevant treatment plan developed collaboratively with the consumer 3) active treatment utilizing standardized therapeutic strategies, with continued regular re-assessment and treatment plan updating to monitor appropriateness of continuation 4) termination of services. Collateral duties include maintaining accurate records, timely completion of behavioral health intakes, updating treatment plans, completing discharges, and making relevant referrals, along with active participation in quality improvement projects, as assigned. Works with various departments within the Service Unit, as needed, to ensure client needs are met. Assists the Behavioral Health Supervisor with collateral duties, as assigned. Performs special assignments as requested to support departmental or facility objectives. Charts clinical data using approved data collection software for purposes of diagnosis and treatment, referral accountability, and research. Documentation in the electronic health record is to be completed within 24 hours. Shares clinical and program information, preparing statistical and narrative reports as appropriate. Participates in and/or conducts quality improvement projects as requested. Maintains and develops professional skills through reading professional literature, association with professional organizations, and participation in training related to professional responsibilities.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree, Master of Social Work (MSW) from a program accredited by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE)
  • Current unrestricted license in the state of Kansas and/or Missouri.
  • Minimum of two years of post-licensure professional experience.
  • Actively provided psychotherapy within the past two years.
  • Complete all required HHS, IHS, and HIHC annual trainings.
  • Complete all required annual CEUs to maintain licensure.
  • Provide a copy of the license and verification of license from the state of licensure for credentialing and privileging at the Haskell Indian Health Center.
  • Secure a Tier II favorable adjudication as determined by the IHS.
  • Complete credentialing, privileging, and background clearance before services can be rendered.
  • Adhere to NIST Federal Information Processing Standards (FIPS) Publication (PUB) Number 201-2, Personal Identity Verification (PIV) of Federal Employees and Contractors, and OMB implementation guidance for personal identity verification.
  • Complete, sign, and submit the Addendum to OF-306, Child Care & Indian Child Care Worker Position form.
  • Abide by all IHS Privacy Practices and HIPAA, ensuring the security and privacy of patient SPII and PII.

  • Conduct thorough biopsychosocial assessments, diagnostic interviews, and risk screenings (including suicide and abuse/neglect) using DSM-5-TR criteria and standardized tools.

  • Deliver culturally informed and trauma-sensitive care in accordance with the facility’s population needs and diversity standards.
  • Participate in quality and performance improvement efforts and submit relevant outcome data when requested.
  • Maintain current LCSW license, privileges, CEU requirements, and mandatory government trainings (HIPAA, Privacy, Security, Suicide Prevention), and uphold professionalism and competency standards specific to clinical license.
  • Comply with all clinic infection control, security, and occupational safety requirements.
  • Uphold Standards & Guidelines of accrediting organizations, national, state, and local regulating agencies, and Haskell Policy and Procedures.
