Requirements

  • Active, unrestricted clinical license in Texas to practice independently (e.g., Licensed Psychologist, or equivalent independent clinical license as applicable to your discipline).
  • Master’s degree or higher in a mental health field (or doctoral degree where required by licensure).
  • Valid NPI number.
  • Active malpractice insurance.
  • Ability to provide telehealth services in compliance with HIPAA and applicable state/federal regulations.
  • Strong clinical judgment, ethical practice standards, and commitment to client-centered, culturally responsive care.
  • Reliable internet connection, private workspace, and comfort using technology for video-based care and documentation.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with insurance-based care, including documentation requirements and medical necessity standards.
  • Experience with evidence-based modalities (e.g., CBT, DBT, ACT, EMDR, trauma-informed approaches).
  • Experience treating common presentations such as anxiety, depression, trauma/PTSD, ADHD, substance use disorders, or serious mental illness (SMI).
  • Prior telehealth experience and familiarity with EHR/practice management tools.
  • Additional state licenses and/or interest in multi-state credentialing.

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality, evidence-based psychotherapy and behavioral health services to insured clients via telehealth in accordance with professional standards and applicable regulations.
  • Conduct initial evaluations, clinical assessments, and ongoing treatment planning; establish measurable goals and adjust plans as clinically indicated.
  • Maintain timely, accurate clinical documentation (e.g., intake notes, progress notes, treatment plans, and discharge summaries) aligned with payer and regulatory requirements.
  • Utilize platform tools for scheduling, secure client messaging, documentation, and assessments to support efficient, organized care delivery.
  • Collaborate as needed with primary care providers, psychiatrists, and other members of a client’s care team (with appropriate consent) to coordinate treatment.
  • Ensure ethical and compliant practice, including adherence to HIPAA, telehealth requirements, scope of practice, and applicable state/federal regulations.
  • Participate in audit readiness and quality assurance activities by following provided compliance resources and responding to documentation requests when needed.
  • Maintain active licensure, malpractice coverage, and required continuing education; leverage available CEU opportunities to support ongoing development.
