About The Position

BACS is looking for a Licensed Clinical Program Supervisor for our Community Wellness & Response Team (CWRT), formerly known as Alternatives to 911. This innovative program works collaboratively with 988 and Sacramento County to provide urgent response for community members experiencing a mental health crisis, aiming to reduce the need for emergency services and provide community-based resources. The Program Supervisor will oversee a team of multi-disciplinary behavioral health counselors and case managers who provide high-quality, timely field responses. Services include de-escalation, resourcing, problem-solving, family support, and transportation. The CWRT operates 24/7, 365, with staff rotating assignments for dispatch and response. Responders work in teams of two in company vehicles to provide in-field support. The role involves collaboration with 911/988 dispatchers, law enforcement, and internal dispatchers, focusing on preventing individuals from entering the traditional system and connecting them with resources to avoid law enforcement and crisis services.

Requirements

  • LCSW, LMFT or LPCC registered in good standing with California Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS).
  • Two plus years experience providing therapeutic intervention in a community mental health or crisis setting.
  • At least one year of supervisory experience holding staff accountable to goals.
  • Ability to lead diverse and multi-disciplinary teams toward a common goal required.
  • Knowledge of CalAIM, Medi-Cal billing criteria and documentation requirements.
  • Valid California driver’s license, personal vehicle, and proof of personal vehicle insurance coverage. Clean driving record and DMV printout required.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in crisis mental health, field based community services, and severe mental illness strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Supervises a team of case managers and clinicians in a community-based program that provides long-term case management to homeless adults, and previously incarcerated, forensic population.
  • Meet clients where they are to implement consumer-centered services that are needs-driven, strengths-based, and culturally relevant.
  • Manage the flow of referrals, intakes, and discharges of participants and ensures accessibility and welcoming of all people.
  • Be an available and engaged manager, supervise staff including hiring, training, and performance evaluations.
  • Constantly challenge the status quo and look for opportunities for continuous quality improvement and implement systems for CQI.
  • Assure that services are provided in compliance with all funders, including documentation, grant management, presentations, and reports.
  • Communicate effectively and conscientiously utilizing strength-based language and philosophy throughout all aspects of program management and supervision.
  • Other duties as required.
