About The Position

PrimeCare Medical, Inc. is seeking a Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Substance Abuse Counselor (LCADC) and Approved Supervisor to join the medical department at the Baltimore County Detention Center in Towson, MD. This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. A $5,000 sign-on bonus is currently being offered. The role requires eligibility to supervise CAC-AD and CSC-AD.

Requirements

• Must be Licensed as an Clinical Alcohol and Substance Abuse Counselor (LCADC).
• Must be able to supervise CSC-CD & CAC-AD staff members.
• Bachelor’s Degree / Master's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or other related Human Services degree with a concentration in mental health course work.
• Minimum one (1) year clinical experience preferred.
• Effective communication skills.
• Ability to function independently and demonstrating clinical competency.
• Ability to gain trust of patients and build a working relationship.

Responsibilities

• Primarily responsible for the clinical monitoring, coordinating, and implementing of the MAT in accordance with NCCHC/ACA Standards and PCM policies and procedures.
• Serve as a MAT liaison between the medical unit and facility staff.
• Engage inmates/patients in therapeutic interventions to address substance abuse concerns.
• Actively assist with the detection and prevention of inmate/patient suicide.
• Assess and document treatment responses of inmates/patients.
• Facilitate group and individual sessions with inmates/patients in the MAT.
• Assist with discharge planning for inmates/patients on the MAT caseload or collaborate with inmate services staff regarding discharge planning.
• Facilitate/participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and/or case consultations with staff across disciplines.
• Be a member of the Quality Assurance Committee and sub-committees.
• Assist in the establishment of Quality Assurance standards and audit criteria.
• Serve as a member of various committees within the medical unit and facility as necessary.
• Develop and conduct in-service education programs according to the annual in-service calendar.
• Maintain confidentiality at all times.
• Submit a copy of professional license and other credentialing information to the corporate office.
• Perform any other duties and responsibilities as assigned and delegated.

• Salaries are negotiable and commensurate based on experience. Annual Salary range $75,000.00 -$85,000.00
