About The Position

We are currently seeking a Licensed Client Advocate (Health Insurance Agent) who is passionate about helping others, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and values doing the right thing — every time. As a key member of our team, you’ll support clients with understanding their health insurance benefits, resolving service issues, and guiding them through the sometimes-complex world of healthcare coverage. You’ll be the voice they rely on for clarity, advocacy, and care.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of customer service experience, preferably in health insurance, medical office, or related field.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Empathetic, patient, and professional with all types of customers.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and comfortable with client management systems (CRM).
  • Ability to learn and retain complex information quickly.
  • Must be able to pass and maintain applicable insurance licensure (Health and Exchange Producer License; training provided if needed).
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education a plus.
  • Background check required upon offer of employment.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to incoming calls and emails from clients regarding their health insurance plans, coverage options, claims, and billing questions.
  • Assist clients in navigating insurance processes, including provider selection, benefits usage, and plan education.
  • Advocate on behalf of clients by contacting insurance carriers and provider offices to resolve service issues and claim discrepancies.
  • Document all client interactions in CRM systems with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Educate clients about their plan options and guide them through enrollment or renewal processes.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of plan guidelines, healthcare regulations, and industry changes.
  • Provide support to internal teams and agents with customer inquiries and plan-related questions.
  • Assist in preparing materials and client communications as needed.
  • Support the team during Open Enrollment season by handling higher volumes and extended hours.
  • Provide ongoing support for seminars, agents, and other office personnel.
  • Ability and willingness to engage in community/networking opportunities outside of normal business hours.
  • Promote teamwork by sharing experiences, assisting others when help is needed, and maintaining a positive and professional attitude.
  • Willing and able to work additional hours as needed during the Open Enrollment Period (Oct – Dec each year).
  • Other duties as assigned.
