About The Position

Gail’s Homecare is a non-medical, in-home care provider dedicated to maintaining the highest quality standards in the industry. The company aims to add value to the lives of its clients and their loved ones by providing personal care in the client's residence. Based in Lithonia, Georgia, services are available across several counties including Clayton, Cobb, Dekalb, Douglas, Fayette, Fulton, Gwinnett, Henry, Jackson, and Rockdale County. Gail's Homecare values its employees as much as its clients and is currently seeking a compassionate, highly-skilled, and reliable personal care assistant (PCA) to join its growing home health care team. In this role, the assistant will work with clients in their homes, assisting with basic personal hygiene and domestic tasks as needed, according to individual requirements and limitations. The position involves providing compassionate care and assistance, as well as documenting clients' progress to ensure their overall wellbeing.

Requirements

  • CPR/ BLS First Aid (Required)
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • At least one year of full time professional experience in a healthcare setting is required
  • Mastery of the English language, written & verbal
  • Good communication skills, excellent conversational skills
  • Attendance of eight (8) hours of personal care-oriented services per year
  • Participation in professional meetings when directed
  • Ability to work closely supervised to ensure competence in providing client care
  • Patience and ability to remain calm in stressful situations
  • Willingness to comply with all legal and institutional requirements and guidelines
  • Driver's License/State-issued ID
  • CNA License
  • Current CPR Card
  • TB Results
  • Social Security Card
  • Vaccination Card
  • Must have existing fingerprinting background check
  • Able to lift heavy objects, help move clients, and perform physical tasks

Nice To Haves

  • Three to five years of full time professional experience in a healthcare setting
  • Significant experience working in a home health care environment
  • Experience in domestic work or housekeeping
