About The Position
Sentara Health is hiring a Licensed Behavioral Health Therapist to join the Psychiatric Emergency Response team. This role involves assessing patients in Sentara Emergency Departments who present with behavioral/mental health concerns and providing treatment recommendations. The position is located in Harrisonburg, VA, and operates on a Third (Nights) shift.
Requirements
- Master’s Degree – Social Work, Counseling, or other related field
- Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
- Excellent clinical skills, documentation, and communication skills
Nice To Haves
- At least 1 year of outpatient or inpatient experience
- Crisis experience
Responsibilities
- Assesses the social, psychological, cultural, environmental, and financial situation, as well as disposition needs, for each assigned patient.
- Collaborates with patients, families, healthcare team members, and community agencies to develop and implement plans to address identified needs.
- Evaluates the effectiveness of developed plans and initiates change as needed.
