About The Position

AltaMed is seeking a passionate Licensed Behavioral Health Therapist (LCSW/LMFT) to join their team. This role involves applying psychological and counseling principles to assessment, clinical interventions, research, training, case management, consultation, supervision of non-licensed staff, and program development. The clinician will be integrated into a primary care setting, focusing on diagnosis, evaluation, treatment, and discharge planning. Interventions will include individual, group, child, and family therapy, with an emphasis on short-term problem-solving, cognitive behavioral therapy, brief psychodynamic therapy, crisis intervention, coping skills, substance abuse treatment, behavior modification, case consultations, and other evidence-based practices. The clinician will be part of a multidisciplinary team and will collaborate with patients on treatment goals and success measures using evidence-based outcome measures. Opportunities for attending conferences, workshops, and involvement in research or multidisciplinary projects are available.

Requirements

Professional Licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) by the California Behavioral Science Board.
Master's level degree required.
Minimum 1 year of experience working with children.
Minimum one year of clinical experience for LCSW.
A minimum requirement of a valid BLS certification or higher, following the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross guidelines.

Responsibilities
