About The Position

Ascension is seeking a Licensed Behavioral Health Counselor to join their Crisis Intake | Access team at the Ascension Stress Center in Indianapolis, IN. This full-time role involves providing behavioral health counseling services, conducting patient assessments, establishing therapy treatment goals, and administering individual and group therapy. The counselor will maintain confidential records, evaluate therapy effectiveness, provide patients with community resource information, and collaborate with patients, families, physicians, and community providers to ensure comprehensive care from admission to discharge.

Requirements

Licensed Counselor specializing in Mental Health credentialed from the Indiana Behavioral Health and Human Services Licensing Board obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
Licensed Counselor specializing in Clinical Addiction credentialed from the Indiana Behavioral Health and Human Services Licensing Board obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
Licensed Social Worker specializing in Clinical Practice credentialed from the Indiana Behavioral Health and Human Services Licensing Board obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
Licensed Therapist specializing in Marriage & Family credentialed from the Indiana Behavioral Health and Human Services Licensing Board obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling or related field required.

Nice To Haves

BLS Provider preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
Eligible candidates must have a master’s in Counseling, Social Work, or another related field.
FULL license as a LMHC, LCAC, LMFT, or LCSW is strongly preferred!
Previous expeirence working in Crisis Intake | Access preferred

Responsibilities

Provide behavioral health counseling services.
Conduct patient assessments and establish therapy treatment goals.
Administer individual and group therapy.
Maintain thorough and confidential records of observations.
Evaluate progress and effectiveness of therapy interventions.
Provide patient with information regarding resources and therapeutic activities in the community.
Work directly with the patient, family, physician and community providers to ensure active and collaborate care from the initiation of treatment to the time of discharge.
