About The Position

Capital Area Head Start is seeking a full time Licensed Behavioral Health Coordinator to join our mission of making a difference in the lives of children, empowering parents, and strengthening families. As a Licensed Behavioral Health Coordinator, you will implement and coordinate social-emotional supports for children and families. This includes crisis intervention, emergency assistance, child abuse prevention, and case management. Services are provided throughout Dauphin, Cumberland, and Perry counties.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in psychology, social work, or related field
• Valid license in social work or related mental health field
• Significant experience/knowledge in behavioral health supports for pregnant mothers, children ages 0-5, working with at risk families, emergency assistance, crisis intervention, family advocacy and trauma informed practices
• Intermediate computer skills, ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel Outlook and learn web-based systems
• Valid driver’s license and access to properly insured vehicle, or public transportation
• Successful completion of pre-employment process, including Criminal History, MVR, Child Abuse and FBI clearances

Nice To Haves

• Experience in Head Start or Early Head Start is preferred
