The Licensed Behavior Health Clinician-Child is an independent licensed clinical social worker, professional counselor, psychologist, or clinical nurse specialist that will be responsible for providing outpatient therapy services within the Department of Psychiatry and/or other areas within the health system as needed. This role involves providing initial evaluations and direct outpatient clinical services for children and adolescents, psychotherapy in conjunction with department psychiatrists and other medical professionals, and developing clinical treatment plans with patient input. The clinician will utilize the most current diagnostic manual for accurate diagnosis, complete clinical documentation noting progress toward treatment goals, and maintain compliance with all VCUHS policies. Collaboration within an interdisciplinary team and facilitation of patient referrals are key aspects of this position. The role also includes performing other duties as assigned to support the mission of VCUHS and the Department, providing assistance to team members, and accepting alternate assignments.
