About The Position

Merakey is seeking a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to join our team at our program in Carmichael, CA. This role offers an opportunity to advance your career while working with an extraordinary team. You will work under the direction of a psychologist with a team of experienced BCBAs. This is a great opportunity for an experienced BCBA looking for career growth and access to continued trainings, with a small caseload and the ability to develop clinical skills. The position is 100% funded by the Regional Center, working with a unique population of dually diagnosed individuals (ages 12-17 or 18+) with developmental disabilities and co-occurring mental health conditions. Services are provided on-site in one residential home per BCBA, allowing for deep, meaningful clinical work. Collaboration with clinical psychologists, nurses, administrators, and other experienced BCBAs is expected. The schedule is primarily 8-5 with some PM/NOC supervision, and administrative support is provided for scheduling and paperwork. Ongoing mentorship is available through collaboration with a local Clinical Director, PhDs, and BCBA-Ds.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree with Licensed BCBA Professional in the state of California
  • Two (2) years’ experience providing behavior supports for individuals with IDD and with mental health diagnosis
  • A minimum of two (2) years of experience in designing, supervising, and implementing behavior modifications
  • Demonstrated ability to support individuals with behavioral challenges
  • Competency in writing supports plans and effective verbal communication skills
  • Capacity to train and mentor others
  • Ability to perform duties with limited supervision
  • Flexibility in scheduling and availability for onsite support
  • Experience in supervising Registered Behavior Technicians (RBT) is required
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Responsibilities

  • Provide supervision to RBTs and behavior staff.
  • Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs).
  • Develop and implement individualized Behavior Support Plans.
  • Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team to ensure holistic care.
  • Provide the required Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) supervision to staff on an ongoing basis as assigned.
  • Conduct comprehensive Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBA) of presenting issues and observe participants in various settings for developing the behavior support plan.
  • Work within a multidisciplinary setting.
