About The Position

As the in-house Licensed Architect, you will assist with the planning, design, documentation, and construction administration of new developments, renovations, and prototype building designs. The ideal candidate enjoys working across multiple project phases and is comfortable collaborating with internal project managers, consultants, contractors, and municipal agencies.

Requirements

  • Licensed Architect
  • 5+ years of architectural experience within commercial, multifamily, mixed-use, or residential projects.
  • Experience preparing construction documents and construction administration.
  • Knowledge of building products, construction methods, detailing, and applicable building codes.
  • Experience reviewing shop drawings, submittals, RFIs, and change orders.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and project coordination skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong AutoCAD proficiency

Nice To Haves

  • Multi-state architectural licensure is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Develop architectural designs and construction documents for commercial and residential developments.
  • Assist with prototype building design, planning, and modifications for future developments.
  • Participate in conceptual site planning and property layout during the early stages of development.
  • Coordinate closely with in-house development, civil engineering, construction, and project management teams.
  • Prepare and review architectural drawings using AutoCAD.
  • Perform quantity takeoffs utilizing AutoCAD Quantity Takeoff software.
  • Assist in preparing and maintaining project specifications based on lessons learned and best practices.
  • Review building materials, product selections, and finish recommendations.
  • Process and review; RFIs (Requests for Information),ASIs (Architect's Supplemental Instructions), Submittals, PCOs (Proposed Change Orders)
  • Review product data, shop drawings, and MEP coordination documents.
  • Conduct field visits to monitor construction progress and ensure design intent is maintained.
  • Attend construction meetings and coordinate with contractors and consultants.
  • Assist with code compliance, permitting, and regulatory coordination.
  • Stay current with building codes
