Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor II - Psychology

The Counselor is accountable for providing patients and their families with accurate diagnosis, appropriate assessment, counseling, and assistance. This includes maintaining good relationships with patients, their families, medical staff, and other personnel within the medical complex, as well as outside organizations. The role requires maintaining the confidentiality of patient information, establishing an effective working relationship with other treatment team members, and accurate documentation in progress notes and treatment plans. Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, addiction studies, or other related field required.
- Two (2) years of experience as a counselor in either inpatient or outpatient addiction treatment programs.
- Licensure as an LADC required.
Nice To Haves
- Master's degree in social work, psychology, or other related field preferred.
- Experience with DSM 5 diagnostic criteria is preferred.
