About The Position
Stranger Soccer is seeking an entrepreneurial License Owner to launch and grow its operation in New York. This is not a salaried management role; it is an opportunity to build and operate a local business and make football more accessible in the community. The License Owner will work with Stranger Soccer headquarters and receive support from its established operations and technology teams. Rewards are tied to performance and growth. Stranger Soccer’s app enables players to discover nearby football games, book a place, and turn up to play. Founded in Singapore, the company operates across more than 10 cities and has delivered over 100,000 games worldwide. Its mission is to make playing football as easy as going for a jog, and its vision is a world where playing football is as popular and accessible as watching it.
Requirements
- Passion for football and strong connections within the local football community.
- Experience in management, operations, sales, or customer-facing roles.
- An entrepreneurial mindset and ability to work independently.
- A strong sense of ownership and ambition to grow Stranger Soccer locally.
- Motivation to deliver results, with rewards tied to performance and growth.
Responsibilities
- Launch and grow the Stranger Soccer brand in New York.
- Recruit, train, and manage a small local team of 2–3 people, supported by Official Hosts.
- Secure suitable football venues and regular playing opportunities.
- Drive marketing and customer growth through digital and local initiatives.
- Oversee game operations and deliver an outstanding player experience.
- Work closely with Stranger Soccer headquarters, with support from established operations and technology teams.
