This License and Applications Analyst position is within the Cannabis Control Division. Duties include but are not limited to: Assists in administration of licensure, certification and credential maintenance Reviews, evaluates and analyzes factors and incidents impacting on regulatory statutes, regulations, policies, procedures and practices Processes initial and renewal applications Responds to mail, telephone and personal inquiries from consumers, governmental agencies, interested parties requesting information concerning entities regulated by department Explains regulatory laws and agency regulations to applicants, licensees, and consumers Provides assistance to clerical staff May review documents and related materials for criminal convictions Performs related duties as required. The Cannabis Control Division oversees compliance and enforcement of all laws and regulations concerning the sale and distribution of hemp, Adult-Use Cannabis, Medical Cannabis and infused beverages within Connecticut. We are responsible for the administration, compliance and enforcement of the state’s Medical Cannabis Program and Adult Use Cannabis Program. This includes issuing licenses, performing inspections and conducting investigations. The mission of Department of Consumer Protection (DCP) is to promote a fair and equitable marketplace and to ensure safe products and services for consumers. The department is comprised of several divisions, each of which oversees the different industries that it regulates.
