About The Position
The Easton Area School District is seeking a Long Term Substitute Library Science Teacher for Elementary schools for the 1st Semester of the 2026-2027 School Year. This position is anticipated to be at March/Forks Elementary School. The selected candidate will be responsible for providing instruction in library science to elementary students. This role requires a strong academic record, excellent references, and knowledge of current educational research. The candidate must also meet all local requirements and successfully complete a series of interviews.
Requirements
- Hold or be eligible for a Pennsylvania Instructional Certificate in the appropriate area.
- Provide evidence of a strong academic record.
- Provide excellent educational references and related experience.
- Demonstrate knowledge of current educational research.
- Submit a PA Standard Teaching Application (for external applicants).
- Submit a Letter of Interest.
- Submit a Resume.
- Submit three current Letters of Recommendation (within one year) (for external applicants).
- Submit a Copy of Teaching Certificate (for external applicants).
- Submit a Copy of college/university transcripts (for external applicants).
- Provide Act 34 PSP Criminal Record Check.
- Provide Act 114 FBI Criminal History Check.
- Provide Act 151 Child Abuse Clearance.
- Provide Act 24/82 PDE 6004 form.
Responsibilities
- Provide instruction in library science to elementary students.
