About The Position

We’re seeking an innovative and student-centered Library/Media Specialist to inspire lifelong learning, literacy, and digital citizenship at Lebanon School District. In this role, you’ll empower students to become enthusiastic readers, skillful researchers, and ethical users of information while supporting teachers through technology integration, resource development, and collaborative instructional practices.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Education
Pennsylvania Library Science PK-12 Certification

Nice To Haves

3–5 years of educational experience preferred

Responsibilities

Creating engaging learning experiences that foster literacy, research skills, and information fluency
Building a welcoming, inclusive library environment where students feel inspired to explore and learn
Integrating technology and library resources into classroom instruction through collaboration with teachers
Promoting digital citizenship and ethical use of information across all grade levels
Maintaining a dynamic, relevant collection of print and digital resources that supports student achievement
Empower students to become critical thinkers, effective researchers, and lifelong learners
Deliver engaging instruction in research skills, information literacy, and technology integration
Collaborate with teachers to support curriculum development and enhance classroom learning experiences
Teach students and staff the effective and ethical use of technology and information resources
Promote school-wide literacy initiatives through book talks, displays, reading programs, and special events
Manage and develop a balanced library collection that reflects current curriculum needs and student interests
Maintain library management systems, digital resources, and instructional technologies
Use data-driven insights to improve library services, instructional programming, and student outcomes
