The William Morris Hunt Memorial Library, serving as the research library of the Museum of Fine Arts since 1870, is seeking a graduate-level intern. This internship focuses on assisting with the research and cataloging of a donated collection of books from art collector John P. Axelrod, which highlights his support for American Art and underrepresented artists. The intern will also process and organize a collection of non-circulating photobooks and other donated materials. Working under the supervision of the Director of Libraries and Technical Services Librarian, and alongside various department members, this role provides hands-on experience in collection analysis, copy cataloging, and metadata creation to enhance the discoverability and accessibility of library materials. It also offers opportunities to build a professional network with information professionals.
