About The Position

Provides high-level customer service by assisting customers in the use of the Pioneer Library System’s resources and works under the direction of the Purcell Public Library Branch Manager. Performs a variety of library tasks involving circulation services, collection maintenance, and special programming. Has working knowledge in the operation of computers and standard office software products; performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Relevant experience
Bilingual English/Spanish skills preferred
Equivalent combination of technical training, education and/or experience may be considered
Valid driver's license
Understands and performs basic functions and tasks of common software programs and email applications
Uses and helps others use basic computer hardware
Knowledge of libraries, library policies, and procedures
Use or quickly learn to use, online circulation systems, online catalogs, databases and other computer applications
Working knowledge in the operation of computers and office machines, and standard office software products
Strong skills in written and spoken business communications
Perform a wide variety of clerical tasks with multiple demands
Lift up to 25 lbs
Retrieve and replace items from floor level to at least 5 ½ feet in height
Work a flexible schedule which may include evenings and weekends based on fluctuating branch/department demands
