About The Position

Saint John Paul is seeking a librarian for the 2026-27 school year. Duties include working with the faculty and students to provide reference and user services and provide teachers with resources that support their curriculum. This is a 10 month position. Rooted in the Dominican tradition of prayer, study, community and service, Saint John Paul the Great Catholic High School is committed to the formation of youth with special emphasis on the ethical development of the students. Requirements

• Degree in Library Sciences
• Knowledge of Computer operations in libraries, including Library Automation, cataloging systems, and reference databases
• Working knowledge of current online journals and publications

Responsibilities

• Working with the faculty and students to provide reference and user services
• Provide teachers with resources that support their curriculum
• Leading large group student training sessions on research databases and MLA formatting
