Performs professional librarian work in managing the library’s electronic resources, cataloging physical and electronic resources, and leading project management for the Collections Strategies and Discovery (CSD) department. Work involves knowledge of current electronic and physical resource cataloging and integrated library system (ILS) technologies (including hardware and software), the ability to support and maintain the library’s collection and discovery tools, and the application of professional principles and practices to ensure access to library resources. The position utilizes project management skills to collaborate with others in successfully carrying out library projects involving departmental resources and library collections. Work is performed under general supervision with a high degree of self-motivation and individual initiative and performance is based upon completion of assignments and results obtained. The performance evaluation is conducted through the performance evaluation system in accordance with the University Policies and Procedures and is based on the accomplishment of defined objectives and the effectiveness of the assigned library functions.
