About The Position

Jamestown Community College (JCC) is seeking a part-time Librarian. JCC is a comprehensive community college with degree-granting campuses in Jamestown and Olean, New York. It is an innovative, open-access institution that meets regional educational needs by providing transfer degree programs, career programs, community service, developmental education, and training programs for business and industry. JCC embraces the varied identities, histories, and experiences of every member of its college community and actively seeks to be inclusive. Requirements

• MLS from an ALA-accredited institution
• Familiarity with the principles of information literacy
• Recent experience and/or education in the provision of academic reference services
• Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• Ability to work collegially in a diverse, fast-paced environment
• A strong service commitment
• A willingness and ability to serve students from diverse educational and cultural backgrounds
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office

Nice To Haves

• Recent professional experience in reference or instruction in an academic setting
• Ability to work regular shifts
• Ability to work at extension sites, if needed
