Durham College and Ontario Tech University Library invite applications for a Part-Time Liaison Librarian (24 hours per week). This temporary appointment offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to student success, teaching excellence, and research support within a collaborative academic environment. The end date of the contract is October 2027. Working alongside a team of librarians and library technicians, the successful candidate will provide research assistance, information literacy instruction, outreach, and collection support for programs in Durham College's Faculty of Social and Community Services. Through innovative and responsive library services, the Liaison Librarian will help students, faculty, and staff navigate an evolving information landscape and develop the skills needed for academic and professional success. While primarily based at the North Oshawa campus library, the successful candidate may occasionally work at other library locations. Reporting to the Associate University Librarian, Scholarly Resources, the Liaison Librarian serves as the primary library contact for assigned academic programs within Durham College's Faculty of Social and Community Services. The successful candidate will maintain strong partnerships with faculty and campus partners, deliver engaging instruction, provide expert research support, and contribute to the development of collections and services that align with curriculum needs. The incumbent will actively participate in initiatives related to information literacy, student engagement, scholarly communication, open education, and emerging technologies that support teaching and learning.
